The fly killer with its energy efficient 20watt Fluorescent lamp attracts flying insects into its shell and they are then electrocuted on the high voltage killing grid and are collected in the catchment tray at the base of the unit.
We would recommend that the fly units are positioned away from light sources as this can interfere with the UV Rays coming from the fly unit.
For safe cleaning and maintenance of the unit, lift up the front panel. A micro-switch allows safe access for cleaning and maintenance of the killing grid and base of the unit.
