The Philips Heartstart FRx semi-automatic defibrillator is a great unit, packed with features that make it ideal for a construction area. This heavy-duty device is tested to take up to 250kg of weight, has a high IP rating against dust and water, and can withstand the rigors of a fast-paced and ever-changing construction site.
As well as being a tough piece of kit, the Philips Heartstart FRx is a quick defibrillator to use. Each unit is always 8 seconds from shock once turned on, saving vital seconds for saving the patient. As a semi-automatic machine this device requires the pushing of a button in response to the voice commands from the device to administer a shock. This, in addition to visual and audio instructions, gives the feeling of control for users and also the added security of knowing that the device will not deliver a shock unless it has tested the patient and deemed a shock necessary.
The Philips Heartstart FRx defibrillator comes with a carry case, and the package itself comes with a rescue ready kit to assist with preparation of the patient for CPR and defibrillation, and also an outdoor cabinet for strong protection from the on site environment and the weather. A much valued defibrillator package on construction sites across the country.

The Device
The Philips HeartStart FRx Semi-Automatic defibrillator features advanced Life Guidance to help guide the user through a cardiac emergency with simple, easy to understand voice prompts and visual icons. Ideal for use in harsh environments, such as industrial locations, during a flight or in heavy rain, the HeartStart FRx can withstand jetting water, loads of up to 250kg and drops of up to a metre onto a concrete floor.
Step-by-step voice instructions, including CPR coaching, help give responders the confidence that’s needed while treating a cardiac arrest. A clear, calm voice and descriptive visual icons guide you through every step, from pad placement to CPR and shock delivery. The voice prompts are paced to your actions, so that you don’t need to worry about feeling rushed, overwhelmed, or slowed down. If the infant / child key is inserted, the Life / CPR instructions automatically change to ones appropriate for children.

Lightweight, rugged, and reliable, it can withstand rough handling, extreme temperatures, dust, or wet environments.
Unlike other defibrillators, the HeartStart FRx features a unique infant/child key (sold seperately, see related products)) that allows you to use the same SMART Pads II for both adults and children. When the infant/child key is inserted, the defibrillator automatically adjusts the shock strength and guidance to provide the correct instructions for pad placement and CPR that are appropriate for an infant or child. As the user doesn't have to spend time switching pads based on the patient's age, vital time is saved meaning therapy can be delivered more quickly, whilst also saving on the expense of purchasing seperate pads for adults and children. This unique feature means this defibrillator is particularly suited to nurseries, schools, play areas, swimming pools, care homes and other locations regularly frequented by both adults and children.
The Carry Case
The FRx carrying case protects your FRx defibrillator and also a spare battery, two sets of pads, the infant / child key and quick reference guide. Manufactured from easy clean urethane, the case is durable enough to withstand knocks and drops, and ensures quick and easy access to your defibrillator with a simple, yet secure, velcro flap.Â

The Defibcaddy Yellow Outdoor Locking Cabinet

Robust Construction provides additional prtection for your defibrillator against the elements. This cabinet has a large viewing window to check the status of your device without having to open the cabinet. Â

Available with and without a keypad lock, the Defibcaddy Cabinet is manufactured from polyethylene and moulded as a one piece construction, with no screws or joints. It contains a 120-240V AC powered heater – double insulated construction for safety.

Thermostatic heating to keep your AED in good working order. Internal LED lighting, always on allowing the guardian to immediately check that power to the cabinet is OK. The lock code can be easily changed by the end user, without the need to remove the lock.
