Easily adapts for use on infants and children
Unlike other defibrillators, the Philips HeartStart FRx features a unique (included in this package) that allows you to use the same SMART Pads II for both adults and children. When the infant/child key is inserted, the defibrillator automatically adjusts the shock strength and guidance to provide the correct instructions for pad placement and CPR that are appropriate for an infant or child. As the user doesn't have to spend time switching pads based on the patient's age, vital time is saved meaning therapy can be delivered more quickly, whilst also saving on the expense of purchasing separate pads for adults and children.
This unique feature means this defibrillator is particularly suited to:
Life & CPR Guidance
Step-by-step voice instructions, including CPR coaching, help give responders the confidence that’s needed while treating a cardiac arrest. A clear, calm voice and descriptive visual icons guide you through every step, from pad placement to CPR and shock delivery. The voice prompts are paced to your actions so that you don’t need to worry about feeling rushed, overwhelmed, or slowed down. If the infant/child key is inserted, the CPR instructions automatically change to ones appropriate for children.
Semi-automatic
Administers the correct shock at the press of a button.
Built for rugged environments
On the scene with paramedics, on the field with student-athletes, or on the job with employees, the FRx is the solution for treating SCA in demanding environments and conditions. Lightweight, rugged, and reliable, it can withstand rough handling, extreme temperatures, dust, or wet environments.
Ready to use
When the defib arrives, complete the self-test by simply pulling the green tab to confirm it is ready for use. The pads and battery are already connected and in place, if the defib is required for use on an infant or child, you don't have to worry about swapping the pads for child-safe pads, simply insert the infant/child key.
