Features of the Philips Heartstart HS1
Ready to use when you need it
Setting up the Philips HeartStart HS2 OnSite is easy and quick. The pads and battery are already installed. Just pull the green tab to launch the initial self-test. After that, the HeartStart OnSite performs daily self-tests so you can trust that it is ready-to-go if needed.
Â
Step-by-step guidance so you know exactly what to do
OnSite has a clean and simple interface that is easy to use and understand. Its voice instructions guide you through the entire process, from placing the pads, to delivering a shock, to performing CPR. The intelligent sensors can detect what step you are on and adjust to your level of expertise.
Â
Fast shocks to improve treatment success
Since minimising the time to shock after the last CPR compression may improve survival, shock delivery time is critical. The HeartStart OnSite is among the fastest in class at delivering shock treatment after CPR periods.  Equipped with a Quick Shock functionality, the HeartStart can deliver a defibrillation shock quickly (typically within 8 seconds) after the end of a patient care pause.
Â
Personalised therapy for each patient
Before you can deliver a shock, the Philips HeartStart OnSite automatically checks to make sure a shock is necessary and that the right therapy is given. If you install the infant/child SMART Pads, the defibrillator will automatically adjust to a lower energy level and modify the coaching instructions to help you provide infant/child CPR periods ².
Â
Easy to train your team
The Philips HeartStart OnSite easily converts to a training unit when you attach training pads—no need to purchase separate equipment to practice rescue scenarios with your team. These special pads prevent the defibrillator from delivering a shock and activate its training mode, which includes eight different emergency scenarios.*
Â
Benefits of the Philips HeartStart HS1:
The HeartStart HS1 is reliable and safe and works by detecting a ‘shockable rhythm’ in the patient and instructing the user to deliver a shock. If no shock is needed, the unit will not tell the user to deliver one.
Programmed to perform daily, weekly or monthly Automatic Self-Tests and with a successful test indicated by a green light (active status indicator), the HeartStart is built to be ready for use when required and alerts the user when the battery is low and needs to be replaced. This defibrillator also self checks the pads to ensure that they will deliver a shock when required.
Environmental Parameters - Environmental tests were conducted to prove the HS1 AED’s reliability and ability to operate in different conditions.
The HeartStart is small and light and can easily be carried and operated by a single person.
With clear labelling and instructional illustrations to help the user follow the 1-2-3 operation of: turn the unit on, follow the prompts & then shock enables rapid response to medical emergencies. Pads Detection System - The AED pads detection system provides a voice prompt to alert the use of the pads are not making proper contact with the patient’s skin.
Pre-Connected Pads - The HS1 uses a pre-installed HeartStart SMART Pads Cartridge
Â
No Maintenance
Data management software provided with the unit allows the data from an HS1 AED use to be reviewed on a PC at a later time. This software enables the user to:Â
- Download and print out ECG data recorded by the HS1.
- Review the event data (HS1 status, rhythm analysis decisions, and elapsed time) for the entire incident.
- Annotate the ECG.
- Produce and print reports for analysis/record-keeping.
- Merge, review, and archive ECG data recorded on multiple devices for a single patient.
- Save the event data to a file.
